What influenced you to join FFA?
When I entered middle school, I knew I wanted to join FFA, even though I didn’t have a strong background in agriculture. In 7th grade, I joined the Quiz Bowl team and started learning fun and interesting facts about FFA. That experience planted a small spark in me—one that has grown into a passion and has led me to where I am today.
What inspired you to serve as a State Officer?
Our chapter in Bloomer recently had a State Officer, and through that connection, I had the chance to get to know their team really well. I saw firsthand the dedication it takes to become a State Officer, and more importantly, the incredible impact they have on members across the state. That inspired me to step up and serve in a greater capacity.
What are your favorite FFA experiences?
One of my all-time favorite FFA memories is attending the Washington Leadership Conference. It gave me the chance to connect with members from all over the country and challenged me to grow as a leader. Through that experience, I developed my Living to Serve plan—something that helped me better understand the kind of difference I want to make.
What are your future plans?
This fall, I’ll be attending the University of Wisconsin–River Falls as a freshman majoring in Agricultural Education. My goal is to become an ag teacher in northwestern Wisconsin and continue to inspire the next generation of FFA members.
What is something members should know about you?
I don’t come from a strong agricultural background, but that hasn’t stopped me from finding my place in FFA. I’m a talker, I love meeting new people, and I’m always eager to learn about the interests and stories of fellow members.
