All interested teams need to register for the Wisconsin FFA State Nursery & Landscape CDE. ALL interested teams will advance to the State CDE Live contest on April 25, 2025.

Overview
The Nursery⁄Landscape CDE tests students skills in horticultural principles, from landscape design to nursery propagation. Participants in the Nursery/Landscape Career Development Event (CDE) tests students skills in maintaining landscape plants and related products, evaluating equipment and services and performing landscape design.

Please center Team activity problem preparation around this scenario:
As the owner of a landscaping and nursery company, you have broad oversight of the summer annual display design and installation process that your company performs for your contracted customers. After all the designs have been approved by the customers and the orders have been placed, your purchasing manager informs you just weeks before your production crews are scheduled to plant the flowers that your supplier had a crop failure for one of your most used flowers. How would you overcome this unexpected challenge specifically as it relates to the following areas:
1. Customer communication and satisfaction
2. Plant supply and design
3. Scheduling and installation
One person from your team should guide the overall discussion by providing an introduction that includes a summary of the problem, their teammates names, what each teammate will be discussing. This person should also conclude the presentation with a short summary of their team’s plans. The other three team members should focus on one of the three specific areas mentioned above. If you have 3 people in your team, choose two of the three specific areas as you deem appropriate.
