About Wisconsin FFA Foundation

Overview
The Wisconsin FFA Foundation was founded in 1983 as a non-profit organization to financially support the activities of the Wisconsin Association of FFA. Through our strong partnerships with individual and business donors, we are able to provide consistent fiscal resources necessary to sustain and grow the opportunities provided to Wisconsin FFA members.

The Foundation is led by a board of directors, comprised of agricultural leaders from across the state and representatives from all the Wisconsin Ag Ed/FFA organizations. Day-to-day leadership and operations are conducted by three staff members.

Mission and Vision
Mission Statement: The Wisconsin FFA Foundation builds relationships and encourages philanthropy to support and grow agricultural education and FFA.

The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Vision: Ensure access to agricultural education and FFA for all students in Wisconsin through exceptional funding.

History
Wisconsin FFA was started in 1929. As its list of programs grew, so did its expenses. The Wisconsin FFA Foundation was founded in 1983 with the primary goal of seeking funds to run state-level FFA programs.

The Foundation was started by Arnold and Katherine Cordes, who previously served in other leadership roles for Wisconsin FFA for many years. They started the Foundation from their own home. Through their one-on-one contacts and hand-kept records, they raised about $85,700 over the first two years. Over 30 years later, we correspond through email, phone and direct mail, all records are kept electronically and donors contribute over $500,000 annually.
